Yesterday the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund endorsed our campaign for Congress citing our “proven leadership protecting the environment, expanding clean energy and conserving public lands.”
As State Senator, I championed legislation that protected our public lands, promoted conservation for agricultural lands, cleaned our air and water, and tripled Colorado’s renewable energy standards creating thousands of jobs in Colorado’s new energy economy.
But today, the progress we built together in Colorado is under attack by efforts in Washington to sell and lease public lands to corporate special interests. That’s so wrong! I will stand up to these powerful special interests for our local rural communities and recreation jobs, but I can’t do it alone.
With our first major fundraising deadline of this campaign tomorrow, all eyes are on us and make no mistake, our opponents are rooting for us to fail. Here is a link where you can donate to send a message to those who would sell off our public lands to the highest bidder.
If you believe as I do, that we need immediate action in Congress to protect our public lands and address the changing climate then help me get there. The campaign is off to a strong start because of supporters like you. Here is a link where you can contribute to the momentum of this campaign before our first critical fundraising deadline tomorrow at midnight.
Let’s send some Colorado common sense to Washington!
